Berthold and Eva Haider farm in Apetlon, deep in the Seewinkel on the eastern side of Lake Neusiedl — a flat, sun-drenched corner of Austria where storks nest on the rooftops and vineyards share the land with a national park. In fact, the stork is the family's emblem. The Haider family treats their farm as a living being — sheep, chickens, cows, and the storks clattering overhead set the daily rhythm.

The estate is fully biodynamic, with compost preparations made in-house by Berthold. Between the rows, cover crops are rolled rather than mowed, sheltering insects, partridges, and hares. The vines grow on light sand, iron-rich gravel, and dark loamy black earth, ripened by nearly 300 days of Pannonian sun a year. These vineyards are the only ones allowed to grow within the Neusiedler See National Park.

In the cellar, the wines ferment spontaneously with native yeasts and always handled with a light touch, letting each grape speak for itself. That philosophy shines in their monovarietal line — pure, single-variety expressions of the Seewinkel dressed in playful pop art labels. Honest farming, living soil, and wines with the pulse of the Seewinkel in every bottle.
